On/Off Road Motorcycle training for the security services– Dual Purpose Machines

Anti-social and criminal use of motorcycles is quickly becoming one of the highest local community concerns in the UK. The manoeuvrability and ease of evasion makes them a very popular mode of transport for a wide variety of criminal use from anti-social to organised criminality.

The College of Policing’s ‘Authorised Professional Practice’ (APP) details the level at which police officers can engage into a pursuit or pre-emptive pursuit tactics. Stopping tactics include the use of hollow spiked tyre deflation systems and other methods to shepherd, block, approach and detain illegal motorcyclists.

Such measures can also be used by the security industry where access to off road territory is difficult, especially where such services are employed to deter offending remotely.

Michelle Lazenby Associates offer a bespoke training package which covers the on/off road use of dual-purpose motorcycles in all terrain and weather conditions to meet this growing demand either within the public or private sector.

We work with manufacturers to develop new products on the market to assist in the stopping of fleeing motorcycles which are small, portable and contained within backpacks for use on dual purpose machines.

Courses can be developed on an individual basis around our knowledge and expertise in the industry and we work with manufacturers to ensure the right training is delivered for the right product.

We offer different levels of training from student training, to train the trainer packages where applicable. We offer options to deliver bespoke packages to groups and teams externally, or internally within your own organisations at reduced costs.
